When you are just 2 years old and you are invited onto a TV show to putt against Bob Hope, one year later aged 3, you shoot a 48 for 9 holes, and then just 3 years later are featured in Golf digest, you’ve got to think that when you grow up you’ll be a touch better than a weekend hacker.
Tiger Woods was born Cypress, California and his talent for golf was evident even when he was still filling his nappy. Through a combination of passion for the game, more talent than any of us could dream of and the dedicated support of his family, Tiger turned professional in 1996 and the age of just 21.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Tiger Woods is currently writing golfing history and unless he decides to jack it all in and retire to the Caribbean, he will surpass Jack Nicklaus’s record of winning 18 majors.

Tiger is currently on 14 major title victories – and he’s just 32 years old.

Ryder Cup prospects

Tiger is the one golfer that everyone will be keeping an eye on this year – and not just by Team Faldo.
His own team mates will be hoping and praying that he can carry his current form into the tournament, but history tell us that Tiger often performs poorly in Ryder cups and is unable to produce the same magic that we witness in Major championships. Great news for the Europeans – anxious times for Team Yankee!
As a result of his unpredictable form in Ryder Cups, betting against him winning may not be such as bad idea and potentially very lucrative!
